Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Esquel Group announces the appointment of Mr. Norman Tien as the new Non-executive Director to the Board of Esquel Holdings Inc. (EHI), effective October 1, 2018.

Mr. Tien is the Chair Professor in Microsystem Technology in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and former Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Hong Kong.

Supporting the drive for innovation and technology in the society, Mr. Tien takes up different advisory roles in the government such as the Non-official Member of the Committee on Innovation, Technology and Re-industrialisation, the Chairman of Robotics Alliance served by the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park, and a panel member in the Research Grants Council.

Esquel Group is excited to welcome Mr. Tien to the Board, where his extensive knowledge, experience and network can help provide additional guidance for our overall direction and adoption of technology in particular.

Mr. Tien received his PhD from the University of California, San Diego, a MSc from the University of Illinois, and a BSc from the University of California, Berkeley.
