HKMA Hong Kong Sustainability Award 2021

Esquel Group has been awarded the Hong Kong Sustainability Award as well as Special Recognition for Outstanding Sustainability Initiative (Economic Dimension) by the 2020/21 Hong Kong Sustainability Award, organized by The Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA), standing alongside other enterprises renowned for their excellence in sustainability.

This accolade recognizes excellence in the Group’s ongoing sustainability projects presented for the HKMA’s consideration, including Integral, Esquel’s Sustainable Development Garden project in Guilin; company-wide initiatives by the Global Green Committee; and Esquel’s efforts to digitally empower their staff and communities through the provision of learning opportunities. The Special Recognition for Outstanding Sustainability Initiative (Economic Dimension) was awarded based on Esquel’s DET30™ mask story, which showcases the Group’s remarkable market agility and adaptability under the initial pressure of the pandemic.

“We are honored to have our efforts in sustainability recognized by this prestigious award,” said Teresa Yang, Vice Chairman of Esquel Group. “I want to thank our team for their unceasing efforts to achieve sustainable development, which will continue to be a priority in our future aspirations, shaped by our vision of Making a Difference. This recognition comes alongside our official pledge to reach net zero by 2050, as outlined by our CEO in our latest sustainability conference, Integral Conversation 2021.”

Esquel Group’s recently revamped sustainability website transparently provides information about the Group’s progress towards sustainable development.
