Vice Chairman Teresa Yang is the North Asia regional honoree for the 2020 YPO Global Impact Award
It is our great pleasure to announce that Esquel Group Vice Chairman Teresa Yang is selected as the North Asia regional honoree for the 2020 YPO Global Impact Award. The distinguished award recognizes her efforts in making a profound and sustainable impact in multiple areas from nurturing talents to environmental protection.
YPO is the global leadership community of more than 29,000 chief executives in 130 countries. The YPO Global Impact Award is the community’s highest honor that recognizes the chief executives’ impact that is both significant and sustainable. Each year, YPO nominates one regional honoree of the Global Impact Award in 14 defined regions around the globe.
In an interview with YPO, Ms. Yang recalled the teachings of her father, Mr. Y.L. Yang, who founded Esquel Group in 1978. “My father was a great entrepreneur with a vision and a lot of passion for the industry. He emphasized that if we do it, we do it in the right way, meaning not only making profit but doing it in a way that is right for our own value system. So, this (sustainability) is like continuing my father’s legacy… not only part of the business, but part of our culture.”
